What you're losing
Every call that rings out is a job you never hear about.
Going to the next guy
About $6,900
a month, give or take
3 missed calls a day × 22 working days × 30% is about 20 jobs a month at $350 each.
Pro is $99 a month. One job pays for it 3 times over. Starter is $49.
62%
of small-business calls go unanswered at peak times.
85%
of callers sent to voicemail don't leave a message and won't call back.
9×
better odds of booking when a lead is answered within 5 minutes instead of 30.
30–40%
of calls to local service businesses come after hours.
Source for the four: Invoca data and MIT Sloan lead-response research, as summarized by Magicline (AI receptionist statistics, 2026). The job values are starting points; the math is 22 working days a month, rounded.
How it works
Ninety seconds, and nobody at your shop touched it.
1.You miss a call
You're under a sink, up a ladder, or with a customer. The call rings through to your JobsFilled number. The caller hears a short greeting and can leave a voicemail. Your number doesn't change.
2.They get a text in seconds
“Sorry we missed your call — what can we help you with?” It goes out under your business name, to the one person who just called you. Never a blast.
3.It asks the right questions and books the job
What's wrong, where, how urgent, when. One question per text. It offers the times you set, books the slot, and only quotes the price ranges you gave it. Gas smell or flooding? It stops chatting and alerts you.
4.You approve. They get reminders. Then the review.
Your phone buzzes: name, problem, address, urgency, time. Move it or cancel it with one text. The customer gets a reminder the day before and two hours before. After the job, one text with your Google review link (Pro). Every Monday, a text: calls caught, jobs booked, what it was worth.

Customer: Water heater's leaking from the bottom. 4412 Maple Ct. What does a new one run?
Ridgeline Plumbing: Sorry to hear that. A leaking tank usually means a replacement — most run $1,400–$2,600 installed, confirmed on site. Earliest we can come is tomorrow 8–10am or 1–3pm. Which works?
Customer: 8–10 works

New job booked: tomorrow (Tue) 8–10am
Water heater leaking from the bottom, replacement likely. 4412 Maple Ct. Caller (770) 555-0142. Not an emergency — slow drip, told to shut the valve.
Built for your trade
It asks what a plumber asks. Or a locksmith. Or a salon.

A customer texts, 9:02 PM
Water heater's leaking from the bottom. How soon can someone come?
Before it books, it finds out
- 1.What exactly is the problem (what is leaking, clogged or not working)?
- 2.Where in the home is it (kitchen, bathroom, basement, outside)?
- 3.Is water actively leaking right now, or is it shut off at a valve?
- 4.How long has it been going on?
And it asks for a photo of the leak, the puddle, or the label on the water heater.
When it’s today, not this week
Sewage backing up, no water in the house, a leak they cannot shut off, or a water heater leaking with no shutoff = today.
Why it matters
Generic bots book “an appointment” and leave you guessing. This one asks what a plumber needs to know, one question per text, so the alert on your phone reads like your dispatcher wrote it.

The terms, in plain English
- No setup fee. Registering your number with the carriers, entering your services and price ranges, your hours and calendar, and testing it with you: all included. Done-for-you agencies charge $497 and up for that part alone (source).
- Pay today, month to month, cancel by text. Your first month is charged when you sign up. No annual term that renews on its own. Text CANCEL to your JobsFilled line and you’re out at the end of the period you paid for; nothing renews after that.
- Prepay: 12 months for the price of 10. $990 on Pro, $490 on Starter, charged at signup. Optional.
- 30-day money-back on your first charge. Pay-per-job has nothing to refund: you only ever pay for a job it booked, and you can read the conversation.
“If you want out within 30 days of your first monthly charge, tell me and I refund it.”
What “up to 60 conversations” means
A “conversation” is a missed call that got a text-back and the customer replied. Text-backs nobody answers don’t count. Go over your plan two months in a row and we call you about moving up. No automatic overage charges, ever.
For comparison
- A part-time receptionist: $1,500–2,500 a month, and she goes home at five (source).
- Do-it-yourself AI receptionist tools: $25–300 a month; you set them up and babysit them alone (source). There is even a free missed-call text-back app: you bring your own Twilio account, register the number with the carriers yourself, write the texts, and answer every thread yourself.
- Jobber’s AI Receptionist: $29 a month for the first 30 conversations, then $0.79 per conversation, on a Jobber phone number you register with the carriers yourself (Jobber’s help center, July 2026). If you use Jobber, keep it. We do the carrier paperwork and ask what’s broken before we ask for an email.
No setup fee. No contract. Cancel by text.

Why a person, not an app
The text is easy. The text that delivers is the work.
Carrier registration, done
Your number is registered with the carriers before it goes live (the paperwork they call A2P 10DLC), so your texts aren't filtered as spam. The apps hand you a form. We fill it in.
Forwarding, dialed with you
One carrier code on your phone sends the calls you don't answer to your text-back number. We dial it together on the phone. Another code turns it off.
Hours, services, price ranges, entered
We sit down with you once and type in your hours, what you do, and the ranges you're happy to quote. It never quotes a price you didn't give it.
Calendar set up and tested
Slot length, buffers, how many jobs a slot. Then we test-call it together before a customer ever does.
A weekly text, not a dashboard
Every Monday: calls caught, jobs booked, what it was worth. Read every conversation on your phone if you want to. You don't have to.
A person who reads the threads
When the AI says something odd, a human fixes the wording. When a customer texts something new, we teach it. You have a cell number, not a ticket queue.
You approve every booking
It only books inside the hours you set. Every booking texts you; move it or cancel it with one text.
STOP means stop
Reply STOP and every text from your business stops instantly. Reminders respect quiet hours.
Emergencies go straight to you
Gas smell, fire, flooding near electrical: it doesn't chat. Safety message, then your phone rings.
How the risk sits with us, not you
No setup fee, month to month, cancel by text. Your number stays yours, and forwarding is one code to turn off, so nothing about your phone depends on JobsFilled. Unhappy in the first 30 days? The charge comes back, no questions.
Every conversation is read by a person, and the person who set your number up is the one you text. You get a cell number, not a ticket queue.

FAQ
The questions owners actually ask.
Do I need a card?
Yes. You pay the first month when you sign up, on Stripe's card page; there is no setup fee and nothing else to pay. If you want out within 30 days of that first charge, say so and I refund it.
Pay-per-job puts a card on file and charges $20 per job the AI books, on the 1st for the month before, never more than $199. Nothing is charged until it books you something.
How do I cancel?
Text CANCEL to your JobsFilled line, confirm with YES, and it stops at the end of the period you already paid for. Nothing renews after that, and there is no annual term that rolls over on its own. Yearly prepay works the same way: it runs to the end of the year you paid for.
We turn forwarding off together, so your calls never hit a dead number. If you'd rather pause for a slow month or two and keep the number, say so.
Does it work for my trade?
Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, garage doors, locksmiths, handymen, painters, movers, salons and barbers, cleaners, landscapers, auto shops, towing, pest control, roofing, pools, tree work, dog grooming, computer repair: each one has its own set of questions built in, and you can change them.
If you take calls and book jobs, it works. Pick your trade above to see exactly what it asks before it books.
There's a free app that does this. Why would I pay $49?
It is free, and that's the right price for what it is. With the free one you open a Twilio account, buy the number, register it with the carriers yourself, write the texts, set up the forwarding, and then you answer every thread from the truck. It texts "sorry we missed you" and waits for you. It doesn't ask what's wrong or where they are, it doesn't book the job, and it doesn't send the reminder.
Mine asks the questions, I set it up for you in one visit, and on Pro it books the job and every Monday you get a text with what it recovered. Ask yourself what one job is worth to you: $49 or $99 is usually a fraction of it. And if you want it to prove itself first, take pay-per-job: $0 a month, $20 when it books you a job, never more than $199. It's free until it works.
What's the difference between Starter and Pro?
Starter ($49) texts back, asks what's wrong, where and how urgent, and texts you the lead. You call them and book it yourself.
Pro ($99) books the job on your calendar, sends the reminders, follows up on quotes, texts the customer for a Google review after the job, answers in Spanish, and takes leads from your website too. If you're on a job when they text, Pro is the one that closes it.
How do the review requests work?
After the job, two hours later and inside business hours, the customer gets one text with your Google review link. They agreed to it when they booked, and they can say no. Never more than one.
Don't want it sent for a job? Reply SKIP to the alert for that job and nothing goes out. Pro only.
Is this the same as Jobber's receptionist?
Same idea, different job. Jobber's is $29 a month for 30 conversations, then $0.79 each, on a Jobber number you register with the carriers yourself. Its own users say it books jobs without asking what the job is.
Keep Jobber if you use it. Mine does the carrier paperwork, asks what's broken before it asks for an email, and there's a person on the other end of the text.
Is it legal to text people who called me?
I'm not a lawyer, so here is how it's built. The text goes to someone who just called you. That is a reply to their call, not marketing. Every message supports STOP, and STOP stops it instantly.
Your number is registered with the carriers before it goes live. No blasts: nobody gets texted who didn't contact you first. I'll send you the rules we follow, in writing.
What if it books something wrong?
You set the hours, the slot length and the buffer. It only books inside that. Every booking texts you, and you can move it or cancel it. The customer gets reminders and can confirm, move or cancel by text.
A wrong booking is one text to fix. A missed call is a job you never hear about.
My customers are older. They don't text.
Some don't. Those leave a voicemail, and you call them back like today. This catches the other ones: the people who hang up and call the next guy on Google.
And anyone can just reply "call me". You get an alert with their number.
Do I have to change my number?
No. You keep your number. We add one forwarding code on your phone: when you don't pick up, the call goes to a number that texts them back. Thirty seconds, and I dial it with you. Another code turns it off.
What does it say to them? I want to control the words.
You do. The first text, the questions, the tone: we set them together at setup, along with your services and price ranges. It never quotes a price you didn't give it.
You read every conversation on your dashboard and can change anything, any time.
What about spam calls and robocalls?
Robocalls don't text back. The text only goes to a real person who called your number. If a spammer does reply, it asks what they need, they don't answer, and it ends. It costs you nothing, and you can block any number.
Is the demo on this page real?
Yes. It's the same software, running on a demo shop, with a made-up phone number for you. What you type stays on this page; nothing is texted to a phone. When it's on your number, the same thing happens over real SMS.
Something else? the answer is usually one line.
